Summer Concert Series 2013
Held every Thursday from 6-9pm, enjoy free live music on the lawn. We'll be serving wine, sangria and Madhouse beer by the glass ($5-6) as well as grilling up burgers and brats ($6). We'll have regular appearances by the Chocolaterie Stam gelato cart - yes, you can even have a wine or beer gelato float - as well as the Gusto Pizza truck. We have some chairs and tables but it's not a bad idea to bring some chairs or blankets as well. As a reminder, all ages are welcome but please leave the pets at home. And since it's a free event, please celebrate the evenings enjoying our wine and beer (other alcoholic beverages will need to stay at home). Yay for summer!

Held every other Friday evening from 5:30-8:30pm on Gray's Lake's south terrace, we'll have wine, sangria and Madhouse Beer by the glass and bottle. The City of Des Moines will be cooking up food for purchase as well!

May 11 - A Celebration of Vines and Food, Wine Tourism Day
We all know great wine starts with great grapes. Join us for a special tour of the onsite demonstration vineyard (tours at noon, 2pm and 4pm) to learn how grapes are grown as well as the different techniques used for each grape variety. After the tour, spend a little time at the tasting bar sampling foods we've expertly paired with our wines. Then enjoy a glass (or share a bottle!) of your favorite wine on the Jasper Winery patio.
May 12 - Mother's Day at Jasper Winery
Because you love your mom (and we do too!), bring her to Jasper Winery for an afternoon of relaxation. Sip wine on the patio and play bag toss on the lawn. All moms will also receive a complimentary MOM-osa (our version of a mimosa)!
May 24 - Passageway's "Creatures and Canvas," 6-9pm, Jasper Winery
"Creatures and Canvas" is a fundraising event to benefit Passageway, a clubhouse program that helps people living with mental illness to find work and improve their lives. There will be Art and Baskets available for silent auction, with some of our favorite selections provided in a live auction! The evening will include live music, food and entertainment! Artists from Des Moines and from within the Passageway organization have donated excellent art and local businesses are donating items for our silent auction and sale to benefit our good cause. Tickets are $20 for entrance. A cheese and/or wine appreciation class may be purchased for an additional cost. Special Tastings
Looking for something a little extra special? We also offer VIP Tasting & Tours as well as Pairing events for your group. Group size can be from two to 100 people. Reservations are required; please call the winery at 515.282.9463 to schedule yours!
VIP Tasting and Tour -- This 90-minute sit-down educational entertainment begins with wine education covering the steps on how to do a proper wine tasting, history of Jasper Winery and information about the Iowa wine industry. We follow that with tastes of our wines and then a tour of our winery to learn how we make wine. Cost is $10/person.
Wine & Chocolate Pairing -- The wine and chocolate pairings begin with education on tasting wine as well as how to taste chocolate. The tasting includes 4 chocolates from Chocolaterie Stam paired with 4 Jasper Winery wines. This activity is done at your own pace but we recommend scheduling 1 hour for a relaxing tasting. Although this is generally done with smaller groups, the wine and chocolate pairing can include groups of up to 40 people. Cost is $15/person.
Wine & Cheese Pairing -- The wine and cheese pairings begin with education on tasting wine as well as how to taste cheese. The tasting includes 4 Iowa cheeses paired with 4 Jasper Winery wines. This activity is done at your own pace but we recommend scheduling 1 hour for a relaxing tasting. Cost is $15/person.

The tasting includes 4 chocolates from Chocolaterie Stam paired with 4 Madhouse Brewing Company beers. --Private Wine Tastings or Pairings: We schedule private tastings any day of the week! Call the winery to schedule yours or we can even make a gift certificate for you to give.
--Jasper Winery is now offering Vertical Wine Tastings for select grape varietals. You'll need to call the winery to organize the tasting, but the basic info is that you'll take 5 different vintages of one grape variety (for example, tasting the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 vintages of our La Crescent wine). Cost is $350 and you'll receive five bottles of wine, the Barrel Room for your use for two hours, cheese and crackers, water and a bit of education from our tasting room staff. The reservation is for a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 14. There are limited supplies for the vertical tastings so please call Katie at 515-282-9463 ASAP! This is a perfect way to spend your long Christmas holiday with your family.

Large Groups – To ensure your group has a relaxing and enjoyable experience at our winery, we ask that any group of 8 or more people participates in our VIP Tasting & Tour. You will have an area set up just for your group and can learn and taste together for your outing. Please call 515.282.9463 to schedule.
Road Trip – Heading east or west along I-80? Take your time with a couple detours along the “I-80 Wine Trail” (all wineries are located within 10 miles of I-80)! If you're staying in the "heart" of the state, visit the 15 “Heart of Iowa Wine Trail” wineries.
